It’s a… Baby! | Guelph Maternity

April 16, 2010 | Filed Under guelph, maternity, portraits | 1 Comment

Our good friends are expecting! I’m not sure how much more perfect it could be because their due date is Mother’s Day. What better way to celebrate your first Mother’s Day than to become a mother for the first time. I have no doubt they will be excellent parents, and am anxious (as are all their loved ones) to meet their little one once he (or she!) makes their grand entrance into our world.

It was an honour to be asked to take some photos of them. Here are my personal favourites.

Mini-Sessions in Riverside Park: In Love

December 4, 2009 | Filed Under Cans for Comments, engagement, guelph, portraits | 4 Comments

Back when it was warm and sunny, and the flowers were in bloom, I held some mini-sessions at Riverside Park. One hour with me and your photos on disc. It was so much fun, I will definitely do it again next summer! Watch the blog and my Twitter for announcements when I’ll be holding them again to reserve your space. These ones went quick.

The first couple I’d actually met before – at my Boudoir Marathon in July! She loved her photos so much she wanted to come back for some portraits with her boyfriend. These two are always fun to work with and as always, it was nice to have a repeat customer. :)

The second couple I had visit me in the park for photos were two high school sweethearts. They were smokin’ hot too! :)

I love love love the photo of the two of them kissing in the ‘forest’. I think it is really romantic.

This young family met with me last weekend for a mini-session in Riverside Park in Guelph. Their adorable children were a pleasure to photograph! We had a beautiful day too – what a great opportunity to enjoy the picturesque parks Guelph has to offer. Here’s just a few!

Lena – Another Littlest Hero

July 12, 2009 | Filed Under Littlest Heroes Project, children, guelph, portraits | 3 Comments

I met Lena and her family through the Littlest Heroes Project two weeks ago. We visited a park near their house and took some time to play on the playground. Lena and her two brothers and her Mom all had a lot of fun with me, and each one of them was a total ham in front of the camera!

Magdelena (Lena for short) has a long list of abnormalities. Her heart, lungs, kidneys, bowel are all misshapen. Her heart issues are called Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome. She has asthma and is hard of hearing.

To date she has had no surgeries, and she has been living just like a normal kid despite her challenges.

Her spice for life is contagious!

June 28, 2009 | Filed Under engagement, portraits | 2 Comments

On Friday I got to meet Summer and Brett for their engagement photos in Guelph. The day was gorgeous, and so were they! They will be getting married at Langdon Hall in August, and I’ll be there to capture the “I do”s! Here’s a sneak peek for you.

Congratulations to my good friend who finished her degree last year. Before the snow fell last fall I was fortunate enough to be able to get out with the leaves and take some photos to commemorate the milestone. Good job, lady!

Before Christmas I had the pleasure of taking a wonderful family’s portraits in their home. Parents of two energetic boys, it was easy to see they hadn’t lost their love for one another. Here are some of my favourite expressions from the session:

Happy Holidays!

Happy Holidays everyone! With Christmas just around the corner, I am scrambling to get the last few sessions processed and out the door.

This weekend I had the pleasure of meeting a family in their home for some portraits of their two children. They were the cutest boys, and I can’t wait to get their photos delivered in time for Christmas. Thanks again for letting me into your home.

We’re back!

Well my ‘husband’ and I are back from our wedding! We had a wonderful week away with our friends and family, but now it is back to business as usual.

Here are some photos from the 50th anniversary family portraits:

And the little one had the most gorgeous eyes:

And I did promise I would provide a sneak preview to Jennifer and Adam (it’s on its way, it will be a separate post), who have been infinitely patient with me over the past three weeks! You guys rock! Plus, you were a lot of fun to shoot, so I can’t wait to send you your photos. Congratulations again on your engagement!

November and December are busy!

November 2, 2008 | Filed Under portraits | Leave a Comment

The next two months will be a bit hectic for me, but not necessarily with photo shoots – I’m getting married! Our wedding is on November 25th, but we will be away for a week. Then the first weekend in December is another celebration for us for our family and friends who can’t make it to the ceremony. This means I only have a few weekends with time slots available, so if you are thinking of booking a slot, let me know as soon as possible so I can squeeze you in.

I just spent the afternoon with a wonderful family taking some family portraits for a 50th wedding anniversary. Now that is a reason to celebrate! I’ll post some photos soon.
